Meme! Well, answers to a meme, mostly. And then the meme proper. If you want.

1. What was the best ~*afternoon activity*~ at conference?
The best afternoon activity was dodgeball. Yes. Dodgeball. The only thing that would have made me cry harder was ultimate frisbee. (Ultimate frisbee will always feel like the ultimate in undergraduate sports. Oh F&M, WHY.) I wanted to hold out for fingerpainting, but there was no arts and crafts budget. WOE.
2. You are the evil overlord!! With a goatee!! What is your third act?
TO SHAVE THE GOATEE.
Alternatively, probably to abolish people acting like douchebags. Or hiring physicists and engineers to make an anti-douchebag alarm. With lasers.
3. Given your druthers and guaranteed employment in the field of your choice without a godawful commute, where would you live and why?
I actually think I'd probably stay here. I really like Boston, and I really like my company, and I sort of do love my field. I mean. I would like to be the person who says they would like to work in medicine to cure diseases and save lives, but I also really like working somewhere that the intellectual challenges are in no way related to life and death struggles. It makes science fun, which I appreciate. And as for why I would like to stay where I am, I like my neighborhood, I like being close to public transport, I like the neighborhood I live in, that has lots of people wandering around doing real-life shaped things and I can hang out in a spiffy park that has baseball! I could stand to be around fewer students, but them's the breaks.
4. What have you been listening to lately that has filled you full of glee and delight?
Everything by Josh Ritter. OH THE LOVE. My newest love is the song The Remnant. You can listen to it here as the album version. And here live, and here is the acoustic version, because it has zero distortion! SO MUCH LOVE. A million tiny teeth that tear the charge from your atoms, yo.
5. What is something that you are really looking forward to, and why?
I am sort of really looking forward to July 4. It's the little things, and three-day weekends are awesome. I am also looking forward to getting traction on my new projects at work, because I like having momentum. So. Yeah.
