Currently I am at a professional conference. The kind that is -- aside from the meetings and the disseminating of scientific information, a lot more like summer camp than a conference. For one, we are housed in dormitories.

For another, there are afternoon activities! I am, to no one's surprise, in my decently-sized and yet Hollywood nun-ishly spare dorm room reading books. Kate Griffin's Matthew Swift series entertains me immensely, and I do not want to put it down. Sadly I was also thwarted in picking up the final Demon's Lexicon book, though kindle saved me from that, so that one is next in the queue.

And since I will have long, long hours of sitting around watching presentations about DNA that mean very little to me personally (this is the day with the least useful stuff for me, so it goes) --

Losing his wings. Thank god that already happened.

Not having lost his wings.

He tends toward pliancy with an edge of submission. Several people could probably slam him full-body into submission. Two guesses who.

Quick to give in, purposeless, aimless, too easily subsumed in people he loves. Kind of bitchy. In it for the thrill.

He's torn in regretting talking to Sobran. He's also torn about having learned exactly who and what he is.

Things with Sobran got very ugly a time or two. Things with Lucifer also got really ugly that one time. He does not have much luck with that kind of thing, apparently.

When he goes back for the people he cares about, they will no longer want him around. That and truly feeling just how lost he is, and mistaking that for worthlessness.
