Currently I am at a professional conference. The kind that is -- aside from the meetings and the disseminating of scientific information, a lot more like summer camp than a conference. For one, we are housed in dormitories.

For another, there are afternoon activities! I am, to no one's surprise, in my decently-sized and yet Hollywood nun-ishly spare dorm room reading books. Kate Griffin's Matthew Swift series entertains me immensely, and I do not want to put it down. Sadly I was also thwarted in picking up the final Demon's Lexicon book, though kindle saved me from that, so that one is next in the queue.

And since I will have long, long hours of sitting around watching presentations about DNA that mean very little to me personally (this is the day with the least useful stuff for me, so it goes) --

Galadan, Wolflord of the andain

02. Best friend:
It's a toss-up between Mary Lennox and River Tam. Gabriel Tam is a close-run third, but it's different.

03. Sexuality:
Straight. (AND STERILE AS A MULE. Er. *cough*)

Grey.

05. Relationship status:
Single and *gasp* NO LONGER PINING. 1.5 centuries are good for that!

06. Ideal mate:
Someone who does not take his shit, but also does not abandon him for the hot new thing on the block. Someone who is not mind-numbingly boring. Someone who does not always mind that he is a bitchy asshole.

07. Turn-ons:
Competence. Intelligence. A spine. Turning the tables on him in bed. (Laughter, shhh it is a secret. I am not sure even he knows this yet. AHAHAHA.) Probably some degree of biting.

08. Last sexual experience:
Sometimes when he goes back to Fionavar he and various andain ladies might occasionally wear each other out.

09. Favorite food:
Raw eltor. Or whoever.

10. Crushes:
Once upon a time there was this forest sprite named Lisen. She was very pretty, and also born to kill. Galadan was a bit smitten. Since then, nothing. Thank all the gods.

11. Favorite music:
Galadan is not really the listening to music type. If it's there, fine. If it's not, no skin off his nose.

12. Biggest fear:
Failure. More specifically, losing to someone he thinks is weaker and undeserving.

13. Biggest fantasy:
Sometimes he still dreams of what might have happened if Lisen had gone with him and not Amairgen. Sometimes he also dreams of training an army of Edwardian schoolgirls to take over England, and then the world. *shrugs* So.

14. Quirks in bed:
Biting. Dominance games. I think with someone he liked they might be more playful, to a point. I do not think he enjoys having all four limbs tied down or otherwise immobilized. Possibly not even both hands.

15. Bad habits:
He has incredible disdain for almost everyone. Everything he does is some sort of power game. He is unable to let go of his desire to win, even to secure human company. Most people are not very real to him, or at least are completely insignificant in and of themselves. He tends to make people bleed first and ask questions later.

16. Biggest regret:
Probably, even now, that he lost. Even though what he got out of it is certainly worth the trouble, and he is making an impact on his world and some others -- he still sometimes thinks about how perfect that victory would have been. For something less world-ending -- I think he sometimes also regrets caring about Mary and River and Gabriel. Not enough to stop, certainly, but he would be an idiot not to recognize that these are sort of great gaping holes of weakness where previously he had only the one. Ah well. Mary would take any changes in his behavior as a sign that he was going evil again, so that's that.

17. Best kept secrets:
This one is tough. Maybe how much of a marshmallow he really is for the people he likes? The fact that River gets to regularly run around in his head? (For a given value of run).

18. Last thought:
I would imagine something along the lines of taking everyone else down with him, up until there is no life left.

19. Worst sexual/romantic experience:
Things with Lisen almost sent the entirety of reality into the toilet. Because he had a centuries long temper tantrum. Yeah. That was pretty bad.

20. Biggest insecurity:
I think he might be at somewhat of a loss if there was nothing for him to manipulate. Losing control is not his thing, either. But -- as far as personal insecurities go, he's probably at his most uncertain when he's choosing where to stand somewhere in between light and dark. Part of him yearns for both.
