Because there's stuff I'm really not talking about, and teaching sucks, and the weather turned, and I have so many things due between now and November that I am about to explode--

On the theory that we could all use a hearty dose of positive energy and general warm fuzziness while we wait, none too patiently, for better times; that *no* one I know is getting told often enough what a good job they are doing just getting through this crazy, lovely world. I miss talking to you regularly the way I did when I actually went into chat. Even when we aren't having a separate conversation (and we never do have separate conversations often enough), I'm always interested in the clever, funny, caring and just generally worthwhile things you have to say.

I've never had a conversation with you that wasn't interesting, thoughtful, and highly entertaining. Most have also been laugh-out-loud funny at some point or another. And given the sheer number of conversations we've had, that's a pretty impressive feat.
