My external HD is--refusing to be recognized by my computer. It has a mix of work and personal files on it.
I am very cranky as a result. *sigh* *hopes computing services will be helpful* *does not want to lose giant pile of papers*
Meanwhile, as a distraction (for me, and maybe you too!) have a meme, stolen from hordes of people in the past day or so.
Name a character that you know I write or have written, and I'll tell you:
a. What initially prompted me to like the character enough to write about him/her.
b. One of his/her best traits.
c. One of his/her worst traits.
d. How easy/difficult I find it to write the character.
e. The story/thread/chapter/post/paragraph/tag/phrase where I feel that I truly captured the character.
f. My plans (if any) to write the character in the near future
Milliways and Wasteland are the primary sources of material, here.

b). One of her best traits, I feel, really is that ability to cope, that ability to be springier psychologically than some children her age would be. Because she's seen a lot of really ugly crap, and she's still pretty much okay.
c. I think one of her worst traits is (well, there's sulking, but that's a kid trait more than a solely Jordan one) her choice, so often made, not to share what she knows and sees with her Dad. I think she's just so used to not talking about it, or not talking about it coherently, that when Dad or Mom don't ask her the right questions, she just doesn't offer the information. I think she'll grow out of that, but with playing a six year old? ANNOYING. *g*
d. I don't find it particularly difficult to write Jordan. There are kids in my neighborhood, and I remember my brother as a six-year-old, and I remember how I felt and reacted (at least somewhat) as a six year old. And I also check with people who know many six year olds, especially if I'm iffy on the behavior. But I think I do okay, and it's a fun mindset to settle into. Except when I make her wet her pants. Um. HI PHO.
e. Well, now. I think her first EP went very well, with that sudden shock. I think--honestly? I think the Sylar-thread with Santi was probably the most accurate portrayal of a very terrified small child I've ever written. So. There's that. And some of her OOMs with Catherine have been very accurate, I think.
f. Iiiii have to do something with the mountain-climbing thing post Bletch's death. That is really the next goal. And then I have to see how she will react to Milliways in the wake of . . . oodles of things. La? La la la?
