I feel so disconnected today it isn't even funny.

Wtf, brain, wtf.

Oh, it's recursive time-vertigo. For me, anyway. Because it happened after I developed a habit of standing in front of a painting one office I worked in had- it was of the Flatiron Building in New York City, and I'd worked near there a while before. The painting was from when the Flatiron was new, so most of the details were fairly old-looking. Trying to imagine that scene to life was interesting... and then got more so when I was in the city next, and in front of the Flatiron again.

"I'm looking at someone's looking at me- but from which direction in time..."

Believe it or not, it makes sense in my head. I just can't explain it all that well.

There's probably a reason humans don't generally have very good fourth-dimensional perception. It's easier in general if we continue to believe time's arrow only flies one way.

But it's so much fun inducing headaches the other way.

At which point I start taking the punnage apart, because, well, once you've managed to bounce an arrow off your head three times with a single attempt at shooting it in the perfectly normal fashion, you really can't look at 'time flies like an arrow' without sort of wanting to giggle. At least not if you're me.
