Three factors are working against me: 1). I am a sheep, 2). I am at work and horribly bored and not wanting to write my monthly report, and 3). I am insanely curious and already wonder what sorts of questions people might want to ask.

So.

Ask me a question about anything--fandom, real life, music, vegetables, etc--and I will answer you and then ask YOU a question. The whole process could be repeated if anyone wants to keep it up. If this works, by the end we could know each other so well we're sick of each other and have to quit one another for a while.

If you were forced to be a hamster for a day, would you prefer a cage and wheel, or one of those ultra nifty habitrails?

I have this theory that I already am a hamster running on one of those damn wheels. So I'll take the habitrail. At least I'll get somewhere.

What do you do when you get restless? I think I feel spring coming or something.

Sometimes I write. Sometimes I take walks. Occasionally I just tell myself stories, or read books that are alive and fierce and violent.

And I pace a lot. 's weird.

What types of books are your favorites to read? Does it depend heavily on mood?

I feel silly when I pace. But it might help.

Fantasy, pretty much hands down. It's what I read when I was young, and it's what I always wanted the world to be like; even if I don't believe in it anymore, I'd still like to. I still like happy endings.

Also, first person mysteries with snappy dialogue. I usually read things in fits and starts, one month it's all Shakespeare and De Lint, then stories with Japanese settings, then all crappy Mercedes Lackey books.

Do you believe in love at first sight?

I think I believe in an incredible amount of intrigue and fascination and curiosity with another person.

Love, to me, seems too deeply rooted in knowing who the other person is to really happen at first sight.

Maybe someday something will happen to change my mind.

If any one thing from mythology was real, what would you want it to be?

[jothra]

Oh man. Hrm.

I certainly wouldn't want any gods and goddesses, the little buggers. I love dragons so much, but I have a feeling they'd get extinct pretty quick.

So I'll pick...witches. The real kind, not warts and green skin. The ones who don't cast lightning bolts and throw fireballs, but no one dares cross them anyway.

...or unicorns. Because they are beautiful and wonderful and clever enough to probably not get caught.

Do you like your name?

I didn't used to. I wanted something dramatic, or romantic, or something that fit in better.

Now I can't imagine being someone not Lynne. It'd be weird.

Have you ever wondered where the turning point in your life was? And if so, where would you like it to have been?

[jothra]

I know what one of them was. Dropping out of college after less than two years to come home with pretty severe depression. That taught me a few things about myself I wasn't very pleased to know.

So I tried to change some! Didn't work out too badly. But I would have liked the turning point to be when I went to London in high school.

I should have ditched the tour, stayed in England and lived with several eccentric students in a garret somewhere.

Ever practiced a martial art? Snarking doesn't count.

I did a little Tang Soo Do for a couple months. Never got anywhere with it, sadly enough.

What are your feelings about cows?

[jothra]

I like to eat cows. I think they are mostly stupid and smelly and good to make leather jackets with.

...

The little ones are sort of cute, though. Also I approve of milk.

Did you ever make friendship bracelets in grade school? Alternitavely, did you wear snap bracelets?

I did both! My friendship bracelets were horrifying things, as I had then (and still have now) no sense of color aesthetics.

Snape bracelets were great fun. But I snapped mine so often they mostly broke or inverted and would not completely retract. It was depressing.

If you could be a Henson puppet, would you be one of the ones from the Muppet Show, or Sesame Street, and who?

Can you speak another language besides English? Which ones would you want to learn?
