Three factors are working against me: 1). I am a sheep, 2). I am at work and horribly bored and not wanting to write my monthly report, and 3). I am insanely curious and already wonder what sorts of questions people might want to ask.
So.
Ask me a question about anything--fandom, real life, music, vegetables, etc--and I will answer you and then ask YOU a question. The whole process could be repeated if anyone wants to keep it up. If this works, by the end we could know each other so well we're sick of each other and have to quit one another for a while.

I don't like rhyme schemes that are noticeable, or anything that feels contrived. If something is a sonnet or sestina or villanelle or what have you, and I am surprised by that, that is what I consider a success. I don't like overly flowery language; it's too easy to make beauty from flowers or sunsets. Making an onion beautiful is something to admire. That said, I don't like poetry that's too modern (in style rather than time-frame). I don't like street slang, but I do like Frank O'Hara. I love religious themes, and not just because of Aziraphael - religion fascinates me and all the trappings thereof; cathedrals and stained glass, particularly. I'm willing to try anything once.
What is your comfort food/book/whatever of choice?

When I have a crappy day I tend toward poetry, mostly Joe Wenderoth, who I will adore forever for reminding me how much I love words and playing with them and having them twist me up. *happysigh* It Is If I Speak is my favorite favorite FAVORITE book of poems ever. Ever. Bar none.
Otherwise I tend toward old and well-loved favories, like the first three Young Wizards books, or Narnia books, or retellings of the King Arthur story.
Musicwise it is Tori Amos and Ani diFranco and my Raven playlist.
Is there anything you ever wanted to do so very badly you could taste it, but you just sucked, and gave up hope?

What's your favourite colour?

My favorite color is probably blue. Really really dark blue. It makes me feel safe, for reasons I cannot explain.
If you had to pick a favorite sweet, what would it be?

I so knew someone would ask me this. I planned out my answer this afternoon. WTF? XD
And, cola frosties. Cola hard sweets with chewy centres. Oh good god man. ALSO THEY ARE 10p PER PACKET. Oh, how I love them.
Are you a sweets or savouries sort?

Sugar is my besetting sin. It is Sad.
Also you have made me miss root beer barrels. *frowns*

Do you get character bleed?

Sometimes I have heart-in-my-throat moments, during very stressful or fraught scenes, and--angry!Raven makes my hands shake a little. But neither of those happen very very often.

Are there any character types that you wish you could play/write, but can't so well?
From:

Straight people. Aheheheheh.
Um... no, seriously. Interesting quiet people. All of my characters have a tendency to run on at the mouth, and I want to try a character who lets actions speak louder than words. Possibly soon.
Same question returned.
From:
no subject
No.
Um. I'd like to be able to play characters with softer edges, people who are less forceful and sure of themselves (at least in certain respects). Or rather, I wish that I wanted to play that character-type. I'm too fond of sharp edges to really enjoy it even if I could play it well.
If you had a hammer, would you hammer in the morning? And would your neighbors beat you up?

(I am the opposite as far as characters go. My characters sometimes have some quite OOC insecurities because I let too much of myself into them).
Do you dance? How well do you dance?
From:

(From what I know, I wouldn't quite say OOC so much as not explicitly in the source text. Which is, in some ways, part of the fun--choosing the weaknesses and insecurities that fit with the character, even when they're not right out there for everyone to see. But, you know, if you feel there's too much of you in them in some respects, I'm not going to say you're wrong, really, because you know you better than I do. But I will say I have yet to notice it. So.)
What do you think are 'redeeming' qualities to pop music?
I find this sad, sometimes.
From:
no subject
And. Um. That's difficult. The redeeming qualities of pop tend to be the songs that shouldn't be pop and yet are. The moments when I go... wow! The masses show unexpected taste!
And I don't mean to be so snobby, but there is such utter dross about. When you have three versions of the same song remixed beyond belief in the charts it just makes me want to hit things.
(And I'm glad it's not noticeable. I am paranoid).
Do you have siblings?
From:

Anyway. I have a younger brother. He is 17, and he plays crazy crazy awesome guitar, and he wants to go to college for music. I wish him a lot of luck. We suspect that, at least for a while, he might end up living in my basement when he gets older.
But he is awesome on guitar, so there is hope!
Do you ever think that if you were walking in someone else's shoes life would be easier? And then immediately afterward do you stare at yourself and go 'WTF am I thinking?' other people's shoes do not fit at all!?

It's definitely Morpheus, though. *eyes it* Or maybe Daniel. I forget the context of that cover.

Embarrassment makes me crumble.
