So.
Here is the place to ask my Milliways characters (or me, if they're being particularly reticent) any questions you'd like.
Up for interrogation are Raven, Hunter, and Ed, the Master Shark.
Make them squirm.

"They are absolutely wonderful--so bright and full of potential, and so stupid about so many things. Though I am not one to talk."
He tilts his head.
"And they are not afraid of me. I like to think this is not because they do not know me well enough."
He shrugs.
(His mun shrugs also. That's about right, really)

Atreyu wants to know if Ed will eat him if he tries to pat his nose. Also if humpback whales can be considered a suitable snackfood for giant sharks.

"I have a list.
1) You are very pretty.
2) Your logic amuses me. It is cute, and rather silly.
3) I was bored.
4) People keep telling me I should try sex.
5) You were asking questions I would rather not answer. I could have been
cruel. You were lucky.
6) You are easy to shock, in certain respects. I find this funny.
7) Also, I think you are stuck in a rut. I will fix this.
and the amazing #8
8) Lynne kind of just wanted the visual.
Ed says: "Patting does not equal distress, but think about the size of my jaws before you try."
He circles.
"As to Humpback whales, I have lost my taste for them, of late. But 'snack food' is an adequate description, as they only take two bites, at most."

Hunter: What do you really think of Door? Does the fact that she's with Tom surprise you?
Ed: I am a very happy person. I am not distressed. Therefore, may I swim with you?

Raven beams. "I like that Sheila calls me her best friend. Most people are afraid of me, a little. It is a good change."
Hunter: Shrugs. "I liked her, before. Now?" Another shrug, and her eyes look just to the left of the speaker. Interesting spot on the wall, there. "It's not an easy question."
Her gaze becomes more direct. "Not particularly. He's clever. He'll be good for her, and for the Underside."
Ed: *swims* If you are not distressed, I have no business with you. Just dont' bleed.

I love Hunter. Tom just might too.

1. What do you feel about my father?
2. When you told me not to trust people, were you talking about Oberon, or yourself?
3. How do you feel about my pulling 'The World' as your Tarot Card?
From:

Raven shrugs.
"I would rather not have to teach him, though. He would not respond to kindness."
Silence.
"Blind trust is foolish. You know what I am, I think, but you do not really see it. This concerns me. It is the same with your father. For all that you are old, you are remarkably innocent. It is not safe. And I am losing my patience."
Another shrug.
"The World? I am not much enamored of the Tarot--it is not something I understand. It seems accurate enough, though I would like to know what the reverse of the card means."

So... If you did have biology.
Which of the many offers of sex you would surely recieve would you accept?

It takes a long time.
"Not Puck or Coyote, certainly. Between them, they have made it a game, and I will not lose, so."
He shrugs.
"I am rarely static. It is not in my nature. And change is an interesting thing."
One of his fingers taps the edge of the table.
"Of late, I have found logic to be an entertaining companion. It is a strange thing, in truth."

"Having never met the Landlord, I could not say, for certain."
Another blink.
"I would like to think we could have a civil conversation. I have no quarrel with how the bar is operated, and I would hope the Landlord has no issues with me, either."
Another, longer, pause.
"Even the end of the universe should not be torn apart by the Powers."

Ed: Do you have any sort of biology that we should know about? Are there little sharkbabies on the way?
Hunter: ... So, do you like chicks? Other!Clarice wants to know. *cough* I mean, what?
Also, for a question that's NOT about sex, what is your favorite moment here at Milliways (thus far, for some of you) and why?

"For me, these biological things are no light matter. They are important. They are not a game, though they do not have to be serious as death, either. And I do not like to lose."
A pause, and he tilts his head.
"Also, I like Havelock, and I am not one for sharing."
Ed says:
"I have indulged in rutting, in the past. They did not live very long."
Hunter:
"I prefer to sleep with women, yes. They are . . . more amenable."
Raven:
"I liked seeing Coyote and Rabbit again, because I missed them. I liked meeting Ace, because now I have a sister. I also enjoyed the battles with Oberon, because that part of me must be free, at times, as well."
He shrugs.
Hunter:
"I am rather pleased that Door did not kill me, yes."
Ed:
*swims*
*does not answer*
*May be thinking of the Sprat. It's anyone's guess*

Raven: When you become a child, do you think like a child, or do you retain your memories and essence? If the latter, is it fun getting to pretend to be small for a while?
From:
no subject
When I am a child, I am still me. I do not change. Not like that, at any rate. But the reactions of those around me change. And it makes it easier to forget, so I can play. I like to play, very much, and children are wonderful at it--so very certain. It is a pleasure.
Hunter:
What I want most? At this moment, I would really like things to be as they were before I came back to London Below. Everything was simpler, then. I was Hunter. And now, I'm still that, but I feel guilty. I shouldn't, but I do. And I don't know how to deal with that. Hunting is not forgiving of mistakes, and I have no idea what to do with a second chance.
Hunter's internal monologue was brought to you by her mun, who couldn't convince her to say any of it out loud. so.

"Raven, how do you think of flying?"

Raven tilts his head, and the look in his eyes is distant, and old.
"I did not used to have a body. And without one, there are no limits. I can do anything I choose, anywhere. There is nothing tying me to a place, or an ideal, or the people that I care about. It is not like that. There are no bonds. But it is not exactly freedom, either. There is no rush, no exhilaration, no joy."
He shrugs.
"Flying is the best of both things--being Raven and being what came before. When I fly, I am free."
