A list of things (because I can):
Love meme
Bossman has returned, though I have yet to see him. This is never a bad thing. The list of crap I have to do this week is already long enough, thank you.
My brother is having financial issues in that somehow, as a freshman in Boston, he cannot manage to spend less than $50 a week. Bostonpeople? Is that reasonable? Unreasonable? HELP. It's going to be a big Thing when he comes home, and if I can manage to keep it from exploding I will be happy. Alternatively, I will get out of the house. YAY. *cough*
I have been reading the Charlie Parker books by John Connolly. I love them so, even as they get increasingly supernatural. At least he seems to be working from a somewhat self-consistent mythology? And stuff comes back from earlier books, which is ALWAYS awesome.
I think Louis and X-23 would have a lot to not-talk about. *amused*
And tonight I am not responsible for making dinner. This, too, is a win.

If he's buying a lot of his meals, and not in the ramen-and-Easy-Mac way, it's... still probably something he could cut back if he worked at it, depending on what's around his exact area and what kind of kitchen facilities he has access to, but less unreasonable. Otherwise I think that, as a freshman who presumably has room and board, he could definitely cut back from $50 per week. I never spent anywhere near that much in college -- not every week, certainly.
My diagnosis, without knowing him or his particular circumstances, is that he probably has friends who go out or order in a lot, and he hasn't yet gotten the knack and the habit of saying "No, dude, I can't afford that this week" or making a polite excuse with the same end result.
