So I'm in the lab today.
Casting films.
Ten films.
I think I may go insane.
But on the upside, last night was the beginning of a lovely if painfully fraught thread between Lan, Nynaeve, and Moiraine, so--it's not a bad day, not really.

And oh man. I am still reeling over that thread. *hugs you so so much* And I miiiiiight have been figuring out Moiraine's entrance to the bar tonight, in light of, y'know, Events.
(I wonder/presume, of course -- Nynaeve realizes what Moiraine is telling her with that last comment, doesn't she? Or does she? I cannot tell. Stupid Daes Dae'mar and Aes Sedai who is so flat-out determined not to crack.)

In terms of it being a mild reiteration of the thing Moiraine has said before, that she isn't looking to take Lan back?
At the moment, however, Nynaeve is more in the mindset of 'you broke it, you best get about fixing it, and if you don't want me to know what's going on, I can go. Seriously. Just--fix it. And don't think I don't know you're hiding. *sniff*' I think.

Anyway, yes, got it in one. Subtle/mild reiteration of "he is no longer my Warder, I will not stand in your way," etc. so forth. I would say that the strange power/rank thing comes in as well except that dynamic is all kinds of skewed by the teacher-student experience dynamic, so.
Nynaeve is exactly right. *giggle* Moiraine is totally hiding ... and far less likely to let it show in front of Nynaeve than Lan. If she does. I think she will, because she will not be ABLE to keep it together totally. She is SO SCARED/unhappy/weary/alone/etc. right now and just absolutely terrified that Lan is going to reject her utterly for what she did to him/them.
And yes. Bar entrance tonight. I have it basically written already.

Whee, this will be fun. Only ow. Much with the OW. But yes, I do know what you mean, and it makes perfect sense.
Also the idea of Nynaeve lecturing her right about now on the "you broke it now fix it -- bloody fool woman" is actually REALLY GOOD, you know? Because... yes. For several reasons. Look, I am incoherent too!

He's not going to. But then you know that. (And he, of course, understands the undertones too, on both their parts, although to a certain extent he's still preoccupied with OUT OF CHEESE ERROR. But... Daes Dae'mar, yes indeed. La, so very many things go unsaid here.)

(In canon, would have been AFTER things, and she would be with Thom, and not so utterly alone and in weird place with odd dynamics and stuff. I am theorizing. This is how I'm basing emotional/analytical response of hers, though. So... she thinks he understands/will understand, but is not CERTAIN, and if she's wrong... yeah.)

*beams* yay bar entrances. Um. She will not be approaching him first. *giggle* She will be inna corner, dressed in dark blue, and will not invade his space until/unless he's comfortable enough with things to approach her.

Particularly when she is trying not to crack two very stubborn and emotionally closed-off heads together.

How well it will go, of course, is yet to be determined.
*hugs Nynaeve* We all admire her restraint. (Lan would, to a certain extent, like to avoid as well. Lan would also like to learn as much about this place as possible, as fast as possible, particularly if he's going to be stuck here. Which he's ever so happy about of course. And we all know his tendency to lurk in common rooms of inns and attempt to listen to the entire room's gossip at once.)

She is one of two people he knows in the place (let alone trusts), and old habits die hard. Particularly when one is still working on figuring out what the new habits are supposed to be.
And when one is maybe still guilt-tripping just a tad, and tends to compensate with... more than the usual level of overprotectiveness.Plus, there's only so much infodump that can be reasonably fit into the first night before his brain explodes -- we can get away with infodumping all the important stuff, but there's still a fair amount of detail and little things about the bar. (...Not to mention ahaha. Um. Dreamstuffs? Let's talk about timing there.)So, I think him approaching her can be arranged. :)
...Although possibly we may invoke Millitime until the slowtimed thread progresses a bit further, depending on how much brain we have.
