Despite the fact that I have been relatively unstressed (yes, that's the cue for all of my friends to either roll their eyes or shake their heads in despair), I'm coming down with that annoying blocked-up sore throat illness that I always get when I've been travelling or really stressed and my immune system crashes. Blah.

Also, I found the novelization for 'Chosen' which, from the little I skimmed through, looks immensely amusing, in a strange and overly simplified way. Remember all those nifty little ambiguities that Buffy episodes invariably have? All that wondering about motivation and reasoning, and the accompanying influx of interpretation? You know, the stuff that instigated conversations and fanfic and speculation and 'ships and debate and all the stuff that makes fandom fun? Well, this little 'gem' of a book eats all that for breakfast, and not in a 'fuel for the day' way either. That's why it was funny. Angel's internal monologue/reaction in the cemetary scene was remarkably funny, and the pointed mentions of the lack of sex-having between Buffy and Spike during the sleeping/comforting/holding scenes was a definite reminder of the book's target audience. It kept me amused while I waited for my coffee.

Also, I got the new Ani diFranco cd, which entertains me muchly, and which I'm about to go listen to from beginning to end. I wish it wasn't raining, and I'm not quite thrilled to be going to work tomorrow.
