Had my first physics exam of the semester early this morning. It was, dare I say it, not quite as difficult as I had anticipated. If I wasn't worrying about jinxing myself I would say it was easy. Also, there's a poetry reading here on Friday and i'm attempting to rearrange my schedule in order to go.

In other news, related to exams, the one for physical chemistry on Thursday is looking a little better, in that we get 85% of the credit for answers if we do everything but evaluating the integral. Also, I finally got the answer key photocopied, which makes checking whether I know what I'm doing easier.

And I have rehearsal later tonight, in sectionals, and much as I love the piece by Husa, we're going to mangle it. This makes me sad.
The Only Fortunate Thing

You have an idea of yourself.
It is a kind of building.

This building stands on the sound
of your heart-beat,
the imaginary width
of rhythm.

All night
it stands there.
On a sound,
an imaginary width.

It is fortunate, really--
really, the only fortunate thing--
that there is no one in the building.
