So, two of my papers are done, and I have until Monday to finish the 10-page paper, of which I have 3 pages, not including figures. I have outlined the damn thing, and know which articles will be discussed in each section. Now I just need to figure out which bits of each article are of particular importance, and talk about that. Also, I must come up with a short powerpoint presentation that I could give in class. Blargh. I don't want to, but I suppose I must not let my laziness overwhelm me.
In other news, went shopping with Mom for my birthday presents yesterday. It amuses me greatly, because I give her this list, very very specific, with names and titles and which stores to go to, and she still can't really find the stuff. So she tries very hard, and then gets all frustrated and upset, and drags me with her. It entertains me, and I sometimes pick up extra presents by virtue of being fascinated by them, even when they're not on my list. Like the art of Paul Kidby for discworld. This makes me happy.
Continuing with a 'the state of me' update, I will probably be a recitation TA for organic II, which I'm kind of looking forward to, if only because it will be next semester instead of this semester, and I'm pretty sure I don't want to TA a lab. Also, my students have an exam next Friday, and I'm worried for them, they were so disheartened after the last exam.
Additionally, I wonder what people think about getting a paid account, because I had to rotate out some of my icons to make way for the ones people made for me (which I love, by the way), but I miss rosencrantz and guildenstern. Given how often I post here, is it worth it?
Also, I feel like begging people to comment in this entry, be it about fandom, or life, or tribbles, or the spelling of the name of the town in Pete's dragon. Perhaps later, for my own amusement, I will hunt down the 'my livejournal is called' meme, and post it.
Talk to me, someone! Please?

So we had this case shipping out today, with this psycho lawyer, and Guido was talking him down from a [metaphorical] ledge, but the last account didn't print out right, so we were going to be like, okay, we'll send it tomorrow. But the attorney was like NO! so we had to send the messed up ones. We are Not Supposed To Do That.
And, in addition, this was 15 minutes before Fedex closed--and Fedex is a 20 minute drive! So they made me call and wheedle the Fedex people to stay after closing to send this thing off. And they agreed to! My coworkers said that they were listening in AWE. *grin* I only hope Guido made it in time, because it would SUCK if this didn't go out after all. *screams*
I'm so hopped up with adrenaline because of this! *vibrates with extra energy*

I am probably teaching organic II next semester as a recitation TA. Staley says I'm doing a good job. yay! I just hope my kids like me, you know?
Also, GO E's powers of persuasion.
(I think it would be funny if I started calling you E in real life, like if I ever pick up the phone, you know?)
